We are a faith community that desires to experience and share a
growing relationship with Jesus every day.
We believe that God has chosen the local church to represent His life and His love to the community. Take a moment to read through this section of our website to start unpacking this statement. Here, you’ll find information about our values, story, leadership, and beliefs.
WHO WE ARE
Started in Loveland, Colorado in 1978, Good Shepherd Church is a nondenominational, multi-generational faith community following Jesus as we worship, pray and love others in Northern Colorado and beyond. Whether you’re looking for a new church to call home or you’re interested in what a relationship with Jesus looks like, we hope we can help you find the place in your life where you want to be.
WHO LEADS GSC?
First and foremost, we want God to lead GSC. Sounds like the obvious answer…but this simple statement informs our posture in leadership. In essence, our leaders’ role is to seek God, to see where He is moving, to follow Him, and to bring others with them. Good Shepherd Church is led by Pastor Kent Hummel, but it takes a whole family to make everything come together.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our mission is to experience and share a growing relationship with Jesus every day. We believe that God has chosen the local church to represent His life and His love to the community. Through strong, growing, healthy local churches, people should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel, come to know Jesus Christ, become a part of the body of believers, and be disciples.
We worship God by giving of our finances. First and foremost, He commands it in the Scriptures and we want to be people who live lives of obedience. Secondly, we believe He is the One who has given us everything we have and this is a way for us to respond to His faithfulness to us. Lastly, we want to be people that are open-handed with our resources so that others will come to know Him.
