What??? How about EPIC, STELLAR, or AWESOME instead? A sermon series entitled Ordinary sure won’t draw the attention that those three words would. While that’s true, the reality is: “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels (i.e. clay pots), so that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.” (2 Cor. 4:7 NASB)

That tells me that each of us is “ordinary”, and that’s the way God intends for us to be. It’s Jesus is us that makes us, and our lives  extraordinary. He’s the treasure, so we need to keep Him and His will for our lives the main focus. Striving for greatness in ourselves, or for the sake of human accomplishment, and recognition can be a real waste of time and effort. It also can rob you of the true joy God has for you.

In this series, we’re going to look at life from God’s perspective as to what really matters. and is worth living for. We’ll also explore how to maintain a Godly attitude in whatever our lives hold. My hope is that by the time we’re done you’ll see “ordinary” living in a whole different light, and you’ll find it to be a most satisfying way to live.

God’s Best To Each of You!!
