Our Vision

We desire an ever-growing number of people of all generations to visit Good Shepherd Church. We want to be a place where everyone:

  • Feels loved and accepted
  • Has the opportunity to come to know Christ
  • Experiences the reality of His presence and continues to grow in relationship with Him

We also have the vision:

  • To be a church in which all people can experience genuine intimacy with God through heartfelt and authentic expression of their worship to Him. We desire our worship to express a healthy balance between freedom and order.
  • To have all of our people understand and apply God’s Word, the Bible, to their personal lives in order to live with Christ-like character. We want them to develop Spiritual maturity.
  • To have all of our people to be trained and equipped in God’s Word so that they can be involved in the ministry God has for them both inside and outside of Good Shepherd Church. We want them discovering and using their Spiritual gifts, talents, and resources for the glory of God wherever He places them in His service. We desire to see all of God’s gifts operating in their proper workings so that GSC functions as a unified body.
  • To see all of our people actively involved (individually and corporately) touching their “world” with Christ’s love and power as a witness of their faith to share His saving grace so that our whole community will have the opportunity to come to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • To be a Missions-supporting and Missions-sending church that impacts the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We want to be vitally connected with the missionaries that we support.
  • To have Good Shepherd be a place where fellowship and fun fuse people together in a loving, laughing, and learning environment.
  • To be a church OF small groups and not just WITH small groups where all of our people are connected to one another in life-giving and relationships. We want to see our small groups living out our Purpose, Mission, and Vision for the larger church body.
  • To be a praying church where all our people are committed to a lifestyle of daily prayer for themselves, their own “world,” and this world we live in. We want all of our people to know how to recognize and obey God’s voice. We want to become a “House of Prayer” that Jesus desires.
