Nursery & Preschool

Tru Wonder is designed to reveal the WONDER of who God is for preschool and kindergarten age kids, allowing them to Explore, Discover, Respond, and be Blessed in an interactive environment.  Best of all, Tru Wonder begins in the home, equipping parents to be primary in spiritually nurturing their preschooler through weekly HomeFront lessons.

NURSERY DEPARTMENT- Lil Cubs, Happy Hippos and Tiny Turtles

It's never too early to lay a spiritual foundation for children. Our volunteers show the love of Jesus to the children. Your child will be held, cuddled, fed, and have his or her diaper changed. Our team members will play with your child and teach an age-appropriate lesson.

PRESCHOOL DEPARTMENT- Mighty Monkeys, Growing Giraffes, Big Cats

Children at the preschool level are very impressionable and because of that we desire to partner with the family in laying a spiritual foundation. Each week our hope is to give preschoolers a first impression of their Heavenly Father.

HomeFront

Dear parents,

Our children hunger to see the reality of who God is in the natural flow of our lives—when we’re getting up, when we’re sitting down, when we’re in the routines of our work, and when we’re putting them to bed. Our children need to see that faith matters … that it is relevant to our daily situations … that it is real.

One of the ways that we display our faith in action is by intentionally being in God’s Word together. This can be difficult while raising children. As parents, we have good intentions, and we know that the Bible is full of God’s wisdom for our daily lives, but it so easily finds its way to the pile of, “I’ll get to that tomorrow.” As the spiritual leaders of your children, making your home the primary place for learning God’s Word can create a lifelong habit from the earliest years!

HomeFront™ is designed to help you make being in God’s Word, together as a family, a priority in your home. Each week, you will have the opportunity to read God’s Word with your children … and the passage that you read together will give you the opportunity to front-load the weekend experience at church. Your children will hear a specific part of The Big God Story from you, first.

Because we have created fun environments for you to read to your children, our hope is that they will be eager and excited to open God’s Word and prepare their hearts for what God wants to teach them. We are thrilled that you have taken the time to make HomeFront™ the first step in your weekend experience of learning and growing together in Christ!

Need to Know

Check-In Table

Before service, your child will be checked in at the Check In Table rather than at the classroom door and given his/her name tag. By doing this; we have reduced the congestion in the hallways, assisted families in the quick “drop and go” (fewer tears at goodbye), improved parent communication with teachers, and visitor children have gone to their age appropriate classrooms. If your child needs you during the service, your number will be displayed on the screen in the sanctuary, letting you know that you are wanted in your child's classroom.

Screened Workers

We do our best to give each child a quality Christian education by loving teachers who have gone through the screening process which includes a national background check, application, and referrals

Cleanliness

Each classroom is clean and has an atmosphere which is conducive to learning.

What to expect

Explore::Welcome & Engage
Exploration stations create space intended to transition children from the external world into an environment where they can meet with God, just as they are with all that they are.

Discover::Large Group
Children move into a Large Group and participate in discovering God’s Word through interactive games, songs, and storytelling.

Respond::Large Group
Children have the opportunity to respond to God and what they have heard and experienced through His Word. Special attention is given to create space for the Holy Spirit to minister to each child.

Respond::Small Group
Children have an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned, to relate in community, and to respond to God individually or cooperatively within that unique context.

Bless::Small Group
This time can be used to allow the volunteer leaders and parents to participate in blessing each child before they conclude their time together.

Volunteer

These roles can be filled by separate people, or combined and volunteer on a rotating schedule. Applications, background checks and training required.

Host: The Host offers the same spirit of hospitality, generosity, and inclusiveness to the kids that the host of a party would offer to the guests in her home
or gathering.  2 to 4 times a month.

Teachers: The teacher leads kids through the telling of the Big God story in an engaging way. The teacher also
engages kids in community building activities, helps them create a remembrance of their experience, and blesses them before they leave.

Room Assistants: Welcome and engage kids as they explore the environments of the morning; interactive play, story time, worship,
respond and bless time. Room Assistants are extremely important to each room and the flow of the morning.
