Family Ministries

In the family ministries at Good Shepherd, we want our kids to regularly encounter God – to hear His voice and see the results of His actions. We want to teach them more than just a who’s-who list of people and what they accomplished, but we want to bring the entire kingdom of God to their level and let them truly experience the wonder of it all.

We want to grow spiritually healthy families, from the parents clear down to the youngest tots. Kids who grow up in spiritual families are more likely to have spiritual families of their own, and we want to do our part to help nourish and inspire every member of the family.

We believe that parents must be the primary nurturers of their kids’ faith, but our whole faith community at GSC plays a supportive role as well. Ultimately, we all must remain dependent on the Holy Spirit to bring about spiritual growth in the right time and place as He chooses.

Our family ministries are broken down by age: Children’s Ministry for kids from nursery through elementary school age meets regularly on Sundays with special events on different days throughout the year. Our middle and high school UNITE Student Ministries meet during the week, with a Middle School ZeroHour on Sunday mornings following the 8:30 service. We also have special events and classes for adults for building strong and healthy marriages, so keep your eye out here and in the weekly bulletin for more information.
